Meet Alex, the newest member of the Status Ceramics family. Alex recently moved to Seattle and saw our job listing for a glazer. While in school, Alex had worked with local ceramics artist, Don Penny, and had become adept with mills, presses, and kilns–the tools of our trade. More important, Alex is one heckuva nice guy, and in our shop, where we’re all working together, that’s essential.

Status is a custom ceramic tile company. Glazes are applied by hand and then fired; therefore, variation in color is inherent to the product. Material is a white-talc body clay and is not frost proof. Do not use harsh abrasives on glossy finishes. Seal and maintain crackle glazes. During installation, pull tiles from multiple boxes to ensure uniform blending of color variation. Follow enclosed installation guidelines included with your order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery of orders on standard glazes, 3-4 weeks for metallic glazes, and 4-6 weeks for large orders. Sizes are nominal and are not intended to be modular unless explicitly stated.
